Customizing the Workbook Footer

Excel’s footer bar is a handy little tool, providing quick access to basic summary stats like Sum, Count, and Average. But we can do better!

In this tip I’ll show you how to customize your workbook footer to display additional options like Numerical Count, Max or Min, as well as various indicators (macro recording, caps lock, etc.).

COMMON USE CASES:

  • Quickly generating summary statistics without using formulas or functions
